## The Position ##
**Senior Legal Counsel - Clinical Development & Medical Affairs (CDMA) - Roche Diagnostics Solutions (RDS)**

**The Opportunity **
We are looking for an experienced in-house lawyer to join the RDS Legal Team as Legal Business Partner to the global RDS CDMA (Clinical Development & Medical Affairs) Team as soon as possible. This will include providing legal support for one or more leadership teams responsible for all clinical and medical activities of Roche Diagnostics. You will also be part of a global network of legal in-house professionals.

Responsibilities for the role include (but not limited to):
* Engage and collaborate with the CDMA Leadership Team (LT) and specific CDMA chapters on strategic issues seen through a legal lens
* Support complex, international clinical and medical projects employing considerable independent legal judgment, - experience, and analysis
* Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including clinical trial agreements, investigator initiated study agreements, CRO agreements, collaboration agreements, research and development agreements, permits/licenses, and service agreements with private companies as well as public institutions on an international level
* Take an active role in the creation and implementation of a legal support model that serves both Legal and CDMA-s needs
* Liaise with the RDS Legal Leadership Team regarding Legal-s support for CDMA
* Attend CDMA LT and CDMA Chapter LT meetings (mostly virtual)
**Who you are: **
To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to assess and anticipate legal and business risks associated with complex projects and innovative diagnostic products. You need to be able to communicate well-reasoned recommendations to senior executives and business stakeholders clearly and concisely while being comfortable with calibrating and advising on acceptable levels of risk commensurate with broader business objectives.
Qualifications
* Master's degree in Law (MLaw, lic.iur.)
* Admission to the bar
Experience/Requirements
* At least 7 years of professional experience (post-bar exam) in a multinational company or at a respected law firm in the life sciences industry (e.g. diagnostics, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industry)
* At least 5 years of professional experience in the area of CDMA
* Fluency in English, German is a plus
* Professional experience in the field of clinical trials, R&D Collaborations, various types of study agreements, engagements with health care organizations/professionals, business collaborations, biospecimen acquisition, and data privacy and data sharing
* Experience with international legal issues and cross-border transactions
* Familiarity with CDMA operations and regulatory requirements
* International academic or work experience is a plus
