Are you fascinated by the challenge of handling legal disputes in the Claims area across various lines and representing Zurich Switzerland as well as our clients before courts and authorities? In our Claims Litigation unit, you work at the interface between law, insurance technology, and customer needs: You contribute to resolving contentious claims fairly, efficiently, and legally soundly, thereby making a direct contribution to the reputation and quality of results of Zurich Switzerland.
Together with your team, you ensure that our Claims organisation is competently represented in objection and appeal procedures (UVG) as well as in selected civil proceedings – from legal assessment through defining the litigation strategy to settlement or court judgement. You work closely with internal claims and benefits specialists, underwriting, product development, and external law firms.

You actively contribute to the further development of the "unité de doctrine", monitor changes in the market and regulatory environment, and promote innovation in litigation processes, especially in the areas of digitalisation and automation.

What you do
- You conduct legal disputes (especially objection and appeal procedures under UVG as well as civil proceedings in other areas).
- You mandate, instruct, and accompany external lawyers.
- You provide legal and technical advice.
- You clarify fundamental legal questions, contribute to ensuring a uniform legal opinion, and develop or update legal directives for the claims area.
- You participate in internal and external training and conduct these independently (preparation, presentations, materials).
What you bring
- Completed law degree at a Swiss university and bar admission.
- Professional experience in a law firm, service company, or insurance company.
- High resilience, proactive and committed personality with an independent and efficient working style.
- You think entrepreneurially and innovatively and are a reliable person.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Italian native speaker with very good German skills.
