Senior DBA Oracle / SQL Server (m/f/d)

On behalf of our banking client based in Geneva, we are looking for a Senior DBA Oracle / SQL Server (m/f/d) responsible for the operation, security, automation, and evolution of critical multi-technology database environments.
Your mission
- Manage security patching operations on Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases, from planning to validation, ensuring reporting and compliance monitoring.
- Monitor database-related vulnerabilities, coordinate remediation actions, and ensure risk resolution within defined deadlines.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions to reduce manual tasks, standardise operations, and enhance service resilience.
- Manage the database lifecycle, including provisioning, migrations, upgrades, refreshes, backups, restorations, recovery testing, and decommissioning.
- Participate in production support and 24/7 on-call duties, intervene on critical incidents, and contribute to service continuity in on-premise and Azure environments.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent field, with at least 5 years of experience in database administration in critical environments.
- Excellent command of Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server, with proven experience in high-volume, high-availability environments.
- Strong skills in scripting, automation, architecture, performance tuning, and database optimisation.
- Good knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Azure environments; experience with Oracle Exadata and Oracle Data Guard is a significant advantage.
- Ability to analyse and resolve complex incidents, organisational skills, rigour, and ease in managing priorities in a production context.
- Fluent in French and English, good team spirit, ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and availability to participate in 24/7 on-call duty.
