Our client, an independent private banking institution in the Geneva area (approx. 320 employees, specialised in wealth management), is strengthening its development team as part of a major technological overhaul.
The context
You will join the team responsible for the card management system (credit, debit, virtual): transaction processing, ordering and manufacturing, reconciliation. Part of the platform, currently in PHP/Symfony, is being rewritten in NodeJS. You will analyse existing components to design and implement their Node equivalents, in collaboration with architects and tech leads.
100% backend position. NodeJS is used server-side, in complex environments with high security requirements and multiple databases (PostgreSQL, DB2, SQL Server).
Your profile
- Minimum 7 years of backend development experience
- Excellent command of the NodeJS and TypeScript ecosystem
- Good knowledge of the PHP/Symfony ecosystem
- Excellent understanding of SOLID, DDD and CQRS principles
- API design: OpenAPI, REST, GraphQL
- Microservices and event-driven architecture; messaging (RabbitMQ, Kafka) and asynchronous delivery patterns
- CI/CD (GitLab or equivalent), Docker, SQL and ORM, Git
- Degree in computer engineering or equivalent
- Fluent French, B2 English (interactions with international sites)
A plus: experience in the card domain or banking and financial sector.
