As a senior R&D engineer, you will play a central role in leading and managing research and development projects within the Metrology and Industrial Vision competence group.Your main responsibilities will be as follows:- R&D project management: you will ensure the complete management of projects, from the design phase to the implementation and industrial transfer.- Supervision and skills transfer: you will support junior engineers in their professional development and ensure effective knowledge transmission within the team.- Collaboration with external partners: you will work in close collaboration with industrial or academic partners and actively contribute to the setup, monitoring, and reporting of projects funded in particular by Innosuisse, the SNSF, or European programs.- Contribution to teaching and research: depending on your skills and the group's needs, you will participate in basic teaching and continuing education.Your profileYou are an experienced engineer, holding a master's degree or a title deemed equivalent in microtechnology, embedded systems, or industrial engineering. You are proficient in French and English, both orally and in writing, and have at least five years of experience in an R&D department in one or more of the following fields: industrial vision, optical engineering, electronics, or automation. You have the following skills in particular:- Solid experience in technical project management, up to industrialization.- Very good knowledge in programming (Python, C++, C#, or LabVIEW).- Good knowledge in the fields of sensors, signal processing, and data analysis.- Experience desired in the development of industrial vision systems (cameras, lighting, optics, software).- Desired mastery of vision libraries such as MIL, HALCON, Cognex, NI-VBAI, or OpenCV.- Appreciated knowledge in embedded electronic systems.- Experience desired in optical design and simulation.- Excellent technical writing skills in French and English.- Ease in teamwork and in relationships with external partners.- Autonomous, proactive, and flexible, you appreciate the diversity of tasks and demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit.
