Join an innovative risk reduction project in Geneva

As part of the cantonal strategic plan for the prevention and reduction of risks related to crack use, the association Première ligne is looking for motivated individuals to participate in the development of innovative actions in favour of substance users. Première ligne is a private association active in the field of drug-related risk reduction. It has more than 85 collaborators distributed across six services:

  • Quai 9, a reception and consumption space;
  • Le Sleep-In, a night reception facility with consumption possibility;
  • Le Pôle de valorisation, offering psychosocial support;
  • Nuit Blanche, a risk reduction action in festive environments;
  • L'Adresse, a housing access service;
  • La Tangente, support for incarcerated persons.

The actions carried out aim notably to reduce the risks of transmission of HIV, hepatitis and other infections, to combat social exclusion and to establish links with people who do not necessarily frequent traditional social or healthcare structures.

Your mission

• Welcome people attending the facility and distribute consumption materials;

• Conduct interviews at the request of users and carry out necessary medico-social referrals;

• Provide information and prevention messages related to HIV, hepatitis and psychoactive substance use;

• Provide first aid;

• Intervene in emergencies, notably by performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation and calling for emergency services when necessary;

• Actively participate in the development and evolution of the service's offerings.

Profile sought

• Diploma in nursing, social work or equivalent training;

• Strong interest in risk reduction and topics related to drugs, HIV/AIDS, prostitution, precariousness, migration and social exclusion;

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team;

• Experience in the social, health or risk reduction field is an asset. First aid training is offered. An observation period will be organised before starting the position.

Working conditions

• Hours spread over 7 days a week, from 10:30 to 19:30;

• Participation in a team meeting approximately once every two weeks, from 9:30 to 16:30

Type of contract: Permanent contract

Work rate: 60 to 75%

Workplace: Rue de la Pépinière 6, 1201 Geneva

Salary: CHF 7,650 gross per month at 100% (over 12 months)
