Project Manager Research (80–100 %)Do you want to combine scientific research with social impact?Addiction Switzerland is a non-profit foundation committed to the prevention and reduction of problems related to addictive behavior. At the intersection of research, prevention, and policy, we actively participate in societal discourse and communicate scientifically sound knowledge. For our research department, we are looking for a dedicated individual who will lead high-visibility research projects, develop new scientific initiatives, and actively shape the future of our research.Tasks:In this responsible role, you will take over the management and further development of a portfolio of scientific research projects. This includes, in particular, significant projects such as the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study, the pilot project Cann-L, and tobacco marketing monitoring. You will assume a key role within our research department and actively help shape research projects of high societal relevance. You will report directly to the Head of Research and work closely with a bilingual team.- Management, coordination, and implementation of complex research projects from planning to completion.- Maintenance of existing research axes as well as acquisition of new research projects and third-party funding.- Preparation of grant applications and participation in tender processes.- Monitoring of project quality regarding time, budget, and risks.- Analysis and interpretation of scientific data as well as writing research reports and scientific publications.- Communication of research results to professionals, authorities, funding institutions, and other stakeholders.- Professional guidance and supervision of scientific staff within the project teams.- Maintenance and expansion of long-term partnerships with public institutions and project funders (Federal Office of Public Health, cantonal authorities, foundations).Profile:You have a sound scientific education and bring experience in leading demanding research projects. You enjoy working independently, taking responsibility, and navigating confidently in different environments.You bring the following:- University degree (Master or PhD) in Public Health, Social Sciences, Social Psychology, or a related field.- Professional experience in scientific research as well as in the management of complex research projects.- Very good knowledge of quantitative research methods as well as experience with programs such as SPSS, R, or Stata.- German or French at a native level and excellent knowledge of the other language (at least C1).- Very good editorial skills as well as the ability to prepare complex scientific content.- Independent, structured, and careful way of working with a high level of reliability.An advantage:- Experience in the successful acquisition of research projects and third-party funding.- Leadership experience or experience in the professional guidance of interdisciplinary teams.- Knowledge in the field of addiction, Public Health, or health promotion.- Good English skills.What awaits you:We offer you a varied activity with high societal relevance and a lot of creative freedom.
