prio.swiss is the Swiss health insurers' industry association whose members represent 100% of the insured population in the country. The name emphasises the association's priority to engage in political and social dialogue in favour of a high-quality and financially sustainable Swiss healthcare system.
On behalf of its members, the Standardisation, Quality and HTA department is committed to promoting quality development in the Swiss healthcare system. It negotiates, concludes and develops the national quality contracts provided for in Art. 58a LAMal with the associations of service providers. prio.swiss favours a data-driven approach, represents the interests of insurers within the main specialised bodies of the industry as well as at the national level, and advocates for healthcare quality that is both effective and demonstrable.
We are looking, for 1 January 2027 or a date to be agreed, for a specialist for the position of
Quality Project Manager (80 - 100%)
In this role, you will directly contribute to the development of quality in the Swiss healthcare system. You will represent the interests of insurers and insured persons in national-level negotiations and participate in the development of the national quality contracts provided for in Art. 58a LAMal.
Your main responsibilities are as follows:
- Conduct negotiations with associations of service providers regarding the national quality contracts provided for in Art. 58a LAMal, as well as ensure their conclusion and implementation
- Manage and develop existing quality contracts across all areas of compulsory health insurance (AOS)
- Represent prio.swiss within specialised bodies, working groups and project organisations at national and cantonal levels in the field of quality
- Prepare specialised analyses, reports and decision-making bases in the field of healthcare quality
- Co-lead the internal specialised group "Quality", composed of representatives of our members
- Establish and maintain trusting relationships with service providers, associations, quality organisations, cantons and federal authorities
- Be the internal point of contact for questions relating to healthcare quality and provide specialised support to other departments of the association
Your profile
- You have relevant professional experience in quality management, for example in the clinical field, or in-depth knowledge and experience in health policy, health economics or public health
- You have several years of professional experience in the healthcare sector and are familiar with the actors and structures of the Swiss healthcare system, particularly in the area of compulsory health insurance (AOS) and quality development
- You have experience in negotiating, concluding and implementing contracts and distinguish yourself through your negotiation skills and sense of diplomacy
- You have an analytical mind, can communicate complex topics appropriately to your interlocutors, both orally and in writing, and enjoy interdisciplinary work
- You have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in German and French; good knowledge of English is an advantage
