For our client, we are looking for a Quality Assurance Officer to play a key role in maintaining and continuously improving quality standards within a manufacturing environment. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with Supply Chain and Maintenance teams, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) while fostering a strong quality culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Promote GMP best practices and quality standards throughout the organization by:

  • Ensuring compliance with GMP requirements on the production floor
  • Delivering GMP training and coaching employees to develop the right quality mindset
  • Acting as the Quality Assurance representative for validation of maintenance work initiation and closure
  • Managing and coordinating quality complaints, deviations, and non-conformities

Quality Systems & Continuous Improvement

  • Facilitate, manage, audit and improve site GMP compliance levels
  • Lead quality improvement projects and cross-functional workgroups
  • Perform and review risk assessments
  • Conduct root cause investigations and support sustainable corrective actions
  • Promote a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement

CAPA Management

  • Monitor corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans resulting from audits, inspections, deviations, and risk assessments
  • Verify the effectiveness of implemented actions and ensure timely closure

Internal Audits & Change Management

  • Coordinate internal audit and change management programs
  • Support and train new team members and stakeholders
  • Ensure continuity, compliance, and effectiveness of quality systems
  • Lead internal audits and contribute to ongoing quality system improvements
Requirements and skills:
  • University degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Life Sciences, or a related scientific field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems
  • Proven experience in GMP-regulated environments
  • Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Experience conducting internal audits, ideally as a Lead Auditor
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001, Halal, Kosher, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Green Belt certification or equivalent continuous improvement experience would be an advantage
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized management systems
  • Fluent French
  • Excellent written and verbal English
