Founded in 1849, it has more than 300 employees and accommodates dependent elderly people (220 in EMS) and independent ones (135 in residences). Qualified Laundry Worker



MISSION:

Supervise the laundry flow:

  • Prepare the linen cupboards (bedding, bath linen, etc.) for the care units.
  • Prepare and check residents' clothes sent to the dry cleaners.
  • Sort the dirty laundry from the house and the laundry to be subcontracted.
  • Distribute the laundry within the units (bedding, bath linen, etc.).
  • Collect, maintain and distribute residents' laundry.
  • Load and unload washing machines and tumble dryers.
  • Fold the laundry.
  • Iron the washed laundry using a press, an iron, or a mannequin, if necessary.
  • Carry out minor sewing tasks, if necessary (hemming, buttons, repairs, etc.).
  • Mark the laundry with the residents' names.
  • Ensure the daily restocking of the uniform dispenser, register or deactivate badges for new employees.

Control hygiene and textile care protocols:

  • Ensure the cleanliness of the premises (laundry room, laundry) in compliance with hygiene measures and the usage instructions of cleaning products in force within the Institution and respect the dosages of maintenance products.
  • Fill and check the needs of the automatic uniform dispenser.

PROFILE SOUGHT:

  • Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as a textile cleaner or a CFC in logistics management required or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in EMS required.
  • Perfect command of the French language, both spoken and written.
  • In-depth knowledge of hospital textiles (properties, constraints, management).
  • Good physical constitution and ability to carry heavy loads.
  • Mastery of techniques and products used for textile maintenance in a hospital environment.
  • Mastery of hygiene and safety standards for laundry products.
  • Excellent command of common IT tools and specific textile service management software.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in hospital textiles required.
  • Knowledge of clothing dispensers (Metal Progetti) would be a plus.

Hours:

Monday to Friday 7am - 3:30pm / 7:30am – 4pm according to schedule and service needs

1 to 2 weekends per month
