The school and psychopedagogical medical service (SMSPP) supports children enrolled from 1H to 8H in both regular and specialized classes in the City of Sion, French-speaking and bilingual. This service addresses students and collaborates with parents, teachers, as well as partners in the health network. A multidisciplinary team composed of speech therapists, psychomotor therapists, school psychologists, and school nurses provides personalized support to children facing difficulties. Interventions are conducted in close cooperation with the school and aim to assist children in their educational journey by addressing challenges that impact their learning. The City of Sion is offering two positions for Therapists in Psychomotricity M/F for a total activity rate of 130%, distributed between 50% and 80% at SMSPP, part of the Culture and Main Services. In general, the holder will have the following tasks: Evaluate students' needs and carry out psychomotor assessments; Ensure individual and/or group interventions; Establish treatment plans and refer students if necessary; Conduct classroom interventions from a preventative perspective; Collaborate closely with families, teachers, and partners in the network; Actively participate in team meetings and interdisciplinary work; Write reports and ensure the follow-up of files. Conditions of engagement: Degree in psychomotricity or equivalent experience; Strong interest or experience with children presenting neurodevelopmental disorders (particularly ASD) or mental disabilities; Experience in a school environment is desired; Strong skills in autonomy and initiative; Mastery of French and basic tools; Driving license.
