Mission overview: Under the responsibility of the Director, the Production Director will have the main mission of overseeing all production at GB Engineering, including the Studies Pole (APR) and the Works Pole (DLT). As the head of this function, he will be directly responsible for production, resource management, and the needs for load and capacity. The Production Director plays a central role in the organization through the Committee (COp), ensuring the coherence and good execution of projects, as well as the consistency between teams. He collaborates closely with the Director to ensure alignment between technical requirements and production, managing load arbitrations and coordination between Studies and Works, as well as with the Commercial Department to guarantee the feasibility and adherence to commitments made to clients. In the framework of his missions, the Production Director intervenes directly on projects, these interventions being partly attributable to the concerned projects. Main responsibilities: • Global management - Oversees internal production of Studies (APR) and Works (DLT); - Supervises Project Managers and Engineers from the studies and works poles (APR and DLT); - Coordinates the follow-up of works with the Head of the DLT Pole; - Ensures the follow-up of the workload plan for the GB Engineering production team; - Guarantees the technical coherence of projects; - Ensures compliance with and coherence of contractual commitments; - Prioritizes projects and arbitrates resource allocation; - Acts as an interface between Management and the Commercial Department. • Quality Management - Organizes and manages planned technical controls within the framework defined by the Director; - Guarantees the quality of deliverables (studies and works) and addresses identified discrepancies; - Ensures the proper coordination between studies/works (with the Head of the DLT Pole). • Technical Process Management - Sole initiator of technical requests to the Director; - Manages all technical requests; - Ensures proper technical interface between production management and resource management. • Production Coordination - Monitors the overall workload of projects (studies and works); - Assigns resources according to priorities; - Identifies and anticipates project needs/tensions; - Identifies needs for recruitment and subcontracting. • HR Management - Oversees HR follow-up (individual meetings) of the production team (APR and DLT). - Defines and monitors individual objectives; - Manages internal conflicts. • Governance - Organizes and chairs weekly COp meetings; - Ensures regular reporting to Management on commercial offers; - Validates planning, resources, and technical, methodological commitments of project offers; - Mobilizes and coordinates internal teams according to workload and hierarchical priorities. • Hierarchical & Functional Relationships: - Hierarchical link: Director - Functional link: Director (reporting, load, resources, project follow-up, technical support); - Directly supervises: Head of DLT Pole, Engineers and Project Managers from the Studies (APR) and Works (DLT) poles; - Works in tandem with: Director The Production Director acts within the framework and technical guidelines defined by the Director; - Collaborates closely with: Management. The ideal candidate will have the following skills and competencies: • Technical Skills - Solid experience in production management within an engineering office; - Very good understanding of studies and works processes; - Ability to structure, organize, and improve a technical system. • Managerial Skills - Leadership with the ability to decide, arbitrate, and prioritize; - Advanced human management skills (various functions, technical profiles); - Ability to supervise Project Managers and Study Engineers. • Personal Skills - Good writing ability; - Clear and firm communication; - Good teamwork capability; - Ability to share ideas and reporting; - Sense of responsibility and urgency; - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously; - Reliability and integrity. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): • On-time delivery (≥ 90% deliverables on time); • Controlled project budgets; • Mastery of project load/capacity balance; • Reduction of internal quality defect rate; • Quality of COp/ DO reporting; • Team satisfaction. Qualifications: • Higher technical degree, ideally an engineering degree (EPF, HES or equivalent) in a field related to infrastructure engineering or transport systems; • A degree in project management or management is a plus; • Proven experience in production management can substitute for the degree.
