In this context, we are currently looking for a:

Production Manager (M/F) (100%)

Permanent position | Watchmaking | La Chaux-de-Fonds

Your mission

Reporting to the Production Director, you take responsibility for a strategic sector composed of around 50 employees working in a demanding environment where quality, industrial performance, and aesthetic excellence are at the heart of priorities.

A true hands-on manager, you oversee all production activities in your sector and actively contribute to achieving the company’s industrial objectives.

Your responsibilities

Team management and development

  • Supervise, support, and develop the skills of production teams working in 3-shift schedules
  • Unite employees around a culture of performance, commitment, and accountability
  • Support coordinators and key personnel in their daily tasks
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment

Industrial performance management

  • Ensure achievement of safety, quality, cost, and deadline objectives
  • Manage performance indicators and implement necessary actions for their improvement
  • Ensure adherence to the production plan and contribute to improving service rates
  • Identify, structure, and lead action plans to optimise operational performance of the sector

Cross-functional coordination and continuous improvement

  • Work closely with Methods, Industrialisation, Quality, Maintenance, and Planning departments
  • Actively participate in the introduction of new products and their ramp-up
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects and industrial transformations within the department
  • Ensure application of manufacturing standards and quality requirements

Operational excellence

  • Ensure control of production activities in an environment with a high diversity of products and processes
  • Support teams in resolving complex technical and organisational issues
  • Ensure compliance with the highest standards of quality and product excellence

Your profile

  • Advanced technical education (HES Engineer, EPF or equivalent)
  • Significant experience managing production teams in a demanding industrial environment
  • Experience ideally gained in watchmaking, jewellery, microtechnology, medical, or precision mechanics
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and complex manufacturing environments
  • Recognised leadership and strong hands-on orientation
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills
  • Developed sense of continuous improvement and industrial performance
  • Ability to make decisions and support change
