We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Product Owner for Barryvox (all, 80–100%). This pivotal role involves leading the development and management of Mammut’s avalanche beacon platform, ensuring user requirements are effectively transformed into viable technical solutions that are successfully executed.

As the Product Owner, you will be the primary technical liaison for our global organization. Your responsibility includes enhancing the service network to guarantee reliable functionality and continuous advancement of the Barryvox ecosystem. The position is anticipated to commence on September 1st, 2026, or by mutual agreement.

Missions

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Barryvox Product Ownership: You will take ownership of the Barryvox product development by converting user and market needs into technical specifications, collaborating with external developers, and ensuring high-quality products are produced from concept to launch.
• Technical Product Expertise: Develop and maintain extensive product knowledge. Serve as a use case expert in avalanche rescue, ensuring a thorough understanding of the product among internal stakeholders.
• Validation & Compliance: Guarantee proper product validation through lab and field testing, ensuring compliance with internal standards, PPE directives, and applicable regulations.
• Service & Platform Ownership: Take charge of the Barryvox service infrastructure and maintenance software. Act as the global technical escalation point for Customer Service and Repair & Care teams, supporting existing product platforms effectively.
• Training & Support: Provide regular training to global service teams, ensuring consistent product knowledge and service quality worldwide.

Profil

The ideal profile includes:

• A degree in engineering (electronics, mechatronics, or a related field) or a comparable experience that encompasses both technical and business knowledge.
• A robust understanding of avalanche safety products and their usage.
• Experience in project and product management within the technical consumer electronics sector.
• A strong grasp of product validation and certification processes.
• A creative, efficient, and adaptable individual with a keen interest in mountain sports.
• A collaborative team player with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and 3D CAD Software.
• Fluency in English is required, with additional languages considered an advantage.
