We are at home throughout Europe and always close to our customers.PostgreSQL database administrator (f/m/d)Be your best with BechtleOn behalf of our client based in Lausanne, we are looking for a PostgreSQL DBA (f/m/d) responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and integrity of PostgreSQL databases, while supporting internal teams in system development projects.Mission- Install, configure, administer, and maintain PostgreSQL database environments.- Implement and manage backup, recovery, and access management mechanisms in compliance with security and compliance requirements.- Monitor performance, analyze incidents, and optimize databases and queries to ensure system stability and responsiveness.- Implement high availability and business continuity mechanisms within the framework of BCP/DRP plans.- Support development teams and project managers on data modeling, architecture choices, and best practices.Profile- Higher education in IT such as Federal Diploma, University of Applied Sciences, University, EPFL, or equivalent.- Proven experience with PostgreSQL in critical production environments, with a good level of autonomy on administration and tuning.- Advanced mastery of PostgreSQL, particularly on architecture, replication, partitioning, and performance tuning topics.- Knowledge of Linux environments, particularly Red Hat or Rocky Linux, as well as tools such as Bash, Ansible, or similar.- Knowledge of another DBMS such as Oracle or MS SQL Server is a plus.- Analytical mind, service-oriented, ability to work in a team and collaborate with various technical stakeholders.Proposal- Advantageous working conditions: 6 weeks of vacation per year and a pension plan.- Workplace: latest technologies and modern working environment.- Diversity: interesting and changing tasks in a future-oriented sector.Bechtle Suisse SABechtle Suisse SA has certified skills in the areas of: IT Infrastructure, Management, Managed Services, Skills Management, Analytics, Printing Solutions, and E-Commerce.
