The Riviera Security Municipal Association (ASR) is a pioneering regional public safety organisation embodying a new form of public action, bringing together several emergency services: Riviera Police, Riviera Ambulance, Riviera Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS), Riviera Civil Protection (ORPC). In addition to these operational areas, there is the Directorate and General Services, which form a cross-functional administrative entity including notably the Office of Commerce and Events, as well as the Mobility Office.
Today, the ASR comprises 250 professionals and nearly 750 reservists (PCi on-call personnel and volunteer firefighters) who combine daily commitment and a sense of service, quality and reliability of actions, proximity and a spirit of partnership, serving the population.
The ASR is responsible for community safety in the nine partner municipalities that make it up and covers a population basin of nearly 85,000 inhabitants.
Our Police Service is seeking a Specialised Police Instructor to join its team.
This key position is tasked with planning, developing and implementing training and exercises within the police force. The instructor also ensures coordination with the various actors involved in police training at the OPV level and plays a central role in the evolution of techniques, equipment and teaching methods. He/she ensures the harmonisation of training between affiliated police forces and the adaptation of practices according to operational needs and new OPV directives.
Main Responsibilities
- Planning and management: develop and oversee the planning of ASR instructors, as well as all technical branches for the ASR Police Force.
- Analysis and updating: analyse and update internal service orders related to technical branches, as well as interventions in the Riviera area.
- Data management: update training data in dedicated databases.
- Advisory role: act as domain leader at FOCO SOPV level. Study new equipment and make proposals to the Headquarters.
- Development and collaboration: collaborate with the various ASR services to ensure a coherent and effective training approach.
- Training and support: provide security support and specific training during major or special events. Act as a mentor and expert for the federal certificate. Ensure technical training of recruits and trainee police officers, as well as coaches.
- Administrative management: handle administrative aspects related to this role.
Your Profile
- Federal police certificate (Swiss certificate, required)
- Minimum 8 years of field experience in emergency police and 5 years in police instruction
- Trainer in one or more professional branches
- Federal adult trainer certificate desired
In accordance with our legal provisions, this position can only be filled by a Swiss national.

- Excellent physical condition and psychological resilience.
- Flexibility in working hours and shifts according to training needs but also operational requirements.
- Willingness to provide reinforcement to units by performing primary police duties whenever necessary.
