The opportunity:
Join a high-performing photolithography team where your expertise truly makes an impact.
As a Photolithography Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing photolithography processes used in semiconductor manufacturing. Your role will involve working with advanced lithography equipment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring high-quality production standards.
This is your opportunity to shape technical decisions, contribute to long-term tool strategies, and drive meaningful improvements in stability, uptime, and process performance.
Are you someone who takes ownership, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys making a real impact? Then apply today!
How you’ll make an impact
Process development and optimization:
• Ensure processes meet the production program and yield goals and address any product yield and rework issues.
• Develop new techniques, modify existing designs, and coordinate process improvement projects.
• Analyze process data to identify trends, optimize performance, and troubleshoot issues (implement and regularly check SPC).
Equipment and production support:
• Engage with equipment and material vendors to develop new solutions and improve existing processes, to ensure smooth functioning of the production line.
• Independent planning and Implementation of new machinery into the production line.
• Supports some metrology tools i.e. to measure CD and Overlay.
Cross-functional collaboration
• Work closely with process integration, wet etch, diffusion, metals, dry etch, and implant teams to ensure seamless production.
On-call responsibilities
• On-call duties on weekends and public holidays (as required from the production) with participation in the on-call meeting (before the on-call duty) agreed on his own responsibility with the other on-call service providers.
Your background
Education and professional experience:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Science or Physics) with 5+ years of experience in industry or master’s degree with 3+ years of experience in industry or Ph.D. with industry experience.
• Extensive experience in wafer photolithography operations especially in coating and exposure in Steppers, in a wafer manufacturing environment (thin-film-head, semiconductor wafer manufacturing).
Technical skills and expertise:
• Familiarity with automated wafer factory software systems like SPC, MES and Experience with data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
• Strong understanding of optics and immersion lithography.
• Proficiency in data science and programming is preferred.
Personal and language skills:
• Good English and German language skills.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
