Oracle Database Engineer at the Systems DepartmentThe Systems Department of the CHUV is looking for an Oracle Database Engineer at an activity rate between 80% and 100%, for an open-ended contract. The start date is scheduled for October 1st.ContextThe Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and the EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading role in the fields of medical care, medical research, and teaching. Within the Systems Department (DSI), you will have to manage and administer the company's data management systems, ensure the consistency, quality, and security of data, participate in the definition and implementation of databases and software packages selected by the company, perform structural changes, and present reports on database activity.Mission- You implement and manage data servers (development of procedures, security and access management, processing and queries)- You provide second-level technical support for all databases- You ensure the integrity, availability, and security of databases- You participate in the selection of databases (implement database management software, adapt, administer, and maintain this software)- You test and validate, for technical aspects, the software and packages selected by the institution- You work in close collaboration with infrastructure, development, and security teams- You perform tasks during non-business hours (evenings and weekends)- You participate in an on-call service.Profile- You hold an engineering degree in computer science or a title deemed equivalent- You have at least 7 years of experience in a database engineer position in a complex and production environment- You have excellent knowledge of administration and supervision of Oracle infrastructure and in particular Oracle databases- You have experience with high availability RAC, Oracle Data Guard- You possess very solid knowledge to optimize performance- You have the ability to diagnose and resolve complex production incidents- You have good knowledge of backups, recovery, and Disaster Recovery plans as well as good skills in automating tasks- You have acquired excellent knowledge of Oracle, RAC, ASM, Exadata, diagnostic and tuning tools- You have very good knowledge of Linux as well as good knowledge of Linux shell scripting (Ansible is a plus)- An ITIL and/or Oracle certification would be a plus- These knowledge areas would also be a plus: Microsoft SQL Server, monitoring tools Centreon, Oracle Enterprise Manager, OEM, backup tools RMAN, Dell DDBEA and Dell NetWorker.- Depending on your profile, the salary class will be between level 11 and level 13.We offer- Becoming a member of the Lausanne University Hospital is the assurance of benefiting from:- First-rate social benefits, 20 weeks of maternity leave and 4 months of paternity leave (with the possibility of an additional month of breastfeeding leave)- Regular salary progression adapted to responsibilities- A 13th month salary- 25 days of vacation per year- A right to three days of training per year- Access to a varied offer within the CHUV Training Center and partner centers of the Canton of Vaud- Facilitated access to one of the 500 furnished apartments offered in the surrounding neighborhoods for people moving to Switzerland from abroad- Social, cultural, and economic benefits offered to members of H-Oxygène- Benefits offered within the framework of the mobility plan (discounts on public transport subscriptions, promotion of Mobility vehicles, and discounts on electric bikes)- Company restaurants of hotel quality, in each of the hospital buildings with preferential rates.Contact for information on the position: Infrastructure Manager. jidb94804faen jit0832aen jpiy26aen
