Better quality of life in neighborhoods, comfortable and safe walking and cycling, good public transport service, reduction of road noise, nocturnal enhancement of the city, accessibility for all, maintenance of its connection with public space, and finally the development of district heating and the simultaneous development of public space are among the main current challenges of the Department of Planning, Civil Engineering and Mobility (AGCM). As part of the development of public spaces in the Cornavin sector and to complete the team assigned to these major projects, the AGCM is looking for a Transport Engineer.Your mission and responsibilities- Represent the City of Geneva as project owner within the Cornavin team, alongside a landscape architect and a civil engineer.- Lead and pilot the various development sectors as project manager.- Defend the interests of the City by guaranteeing the quality of the developments and by defining the conditions of implementation.- Provide professional expertise by relying on the selected groups, taking into account the issues and constraints specific to public spaces.- Ensure the general coordination and supervision of the phasing of all work, as an experienced project manager in mobility.- Guarantee, jointly with the other two project managers, the quality of the projects as well as compliance with schedules and costs.Profile- Hold an EPF/HES engineering degree with specialization in mobility and transport.- Justify solid professional experience in the development and renewal of public spaces, particularly in the execution phase of the work.- Demonstrate responsibility, responsiveness, and autonomy, with an ability to make decisions while ensuring follow-up with the hierarchy.- Demonstrate proven skills in negotiation, writing, synthesis, and teamwork, as well as ease in contacts with the public.- Master the French language at a level required for the position.Conditions and registration procedureRegistration deadline:Start date: to be agreedJob classification: Class L of the salary scaleThe application file must contain the following elements:- Cover letter- Curriculum vitae or, failing that, completed Job Application form (to be downloaded from our website)- Copies of diplomas and work certificates- Recent photo (passport format)Follow-up of applicationsFor the City of Geneva, the recruitment process is decentralized.
