The Operating Theatres Directorate (DBO) has the primary mission of facilitating interdisciplinary and interprofessional work, while improving the efficiency of operating theatre management. It ensures strengthened governance and close coordination with users, as well as with the general management, in order to optimise processes, flows, and resource management. The DBO also works towards the continuous improvement of patient care by guaranteeing the quality and safety of care, the smoothness of clinical pathways, and performance monitoring. Finally, it promotes interprofessional synergies, continuing education, as well as innovation and research in the service of institutional excellence.

The Operating Theatres Service consists of 8 modern operating theatres equipped with state-of-the-art technical platforms. Designed to offer optimal patient care 24 hours a day. Each year, more than 30,000 procedures are performed by 1,500 dedicated professionals. These specialists cover all surgical disciplines, such as gynaecology-obstetrics, ENT, maxillofacial, aesthetic, reconstructive, cardiac, vascular, visceral, urological, orthopaedic, trauma, hand surgery, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, and paediatrics, including robotic surgery.



Operating Room Instrument Technician or Technician (TSO) - 80% to 100%


As an operating room instrument technician or technician (TSO) within the operating theatres, you ensure the reception and installation of the patient and oversee their safety.

You are responsible for preparing the equipment necessary for a surgical procedure and checking its proper functioning. You assist the surgeon and are in charge of technical activities and specific care in the operating theatre in compliance with good practice rules, particularly in the field of asepsis and hygiene regulations.

Your commitment and collaborative spirit allow you to actively contribute within interprofessional teams. You actively participate in discussions aimed at improving the quality and safety of care.

You participate in the supervision of trainees and students within the operating theatres.

You will have the opportunity to take part in highly specialised surgical procedures. Our institution also offers numerous continuing education opportunities and career development prospects.


Qualifications

You hold a diploma as an operating room technician ES.

Possessing excellent interpersonal skills, you enjoy teamwork and easily integrate into new professional environments.

You have excellent abilities to manage unforeseen events and stress. Your autonomy, rigour, and ability to prioritise make you a valued professional.
