The Grand Age Division of the Eben-Hézer Foundation brings together five medico-social establishments and several medico-social reception structures (SAMS). This Division offers services related to the elderly person including long-term care, advanced age psychiatry, short stays, day care (CAT), protected apartments as well as the Bonnettes production kitchen.
Our support aims to be respectful of the choice, desire, and dream of the resident or beneficiary and is strongly influenced by the Montessori method. We strive to provide places where it is good to live under all circumstances.
To complete our teams in the Geriatrics and Advanced Age Psychiatry Division of the EMS Home Salem, in Blonay St-Légier, we are looking for committed, warm, and dynamic professionals for the following position:
Experienced Head Nurse Unit of Care
80 to 100%
Head Nurse Unit of Care (HNUC), you will ensure the coordination and supervision of a team while ensuring personalised, respectful, and caring support for the residents.
You will be responsible for the quality of care and support provided in Geriatrics or Advanced Age Psychiatry. As such, you will ensure compliance with good professional practices, safety, continuity, and continuous improvement of services.
Specialised nurse, you will put your clinical expertise at the service of your team. You will support them in complex situations, encourage skills development, and promote reflective practice, thus contributing to maintaining a high level of care quality.
As the main contact for residents and their families, you will develop a close collaboration with attending physicians and network partners to ensure coordinated, personalised support centred on each resident's needs.
Close to the field, you will contribute, in close collaboration with the Site Manager, to steering your unit. You will participate in human resources management, monitoring administrative and financial activities, as well as organising and developing services.
Your profile:
You hold a HES Nursing Diploma or an equivalent qualification with solid professional experience in geriatrics. (For foreign qualifications, recognition by the Swiss Red Cross is required)
You have successful experience in management and hold the related training.
You have proven and recognised experience in Geriatrics and/or Advanced Age Psychiatry, or a clinical specialisation in this field.
You possess a high level of social skills and a clear and convincing communication style.
You manage your team with kindness and partnership.
You demonstrate the ability to work independently, have a team spirit, versatility, and constructive leadership.
You are available and flexible, showing exemplary behaviour.
You are an experienced user of PLEX tools and familiar with the PLAISIR tool.
You participate in preventive and therapeutic measures in collaboration with other support teams on site and network partnerships.
You promote the vision of comprehensive and personalised resident support, applying the principles of the Montessori method, Humanitude, or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in elderly care and a strong interest in seniors.
Proficient with common IT and planning tools. (CAREFOLIO is an asset)
