The Fondation la Pouponnière et l’Abri aims to work in favour of children, particularly young children and their families, notably by welcoming them within its nine institutions: five child care centres (CVE), two emergency reception boarding schools, the Mother-Child Educational Reception (AEME), the Meeting Space Service Unit (UPER).

Mission and responsibilities

  • Ensure the smooth running of the night, guarantee the safety and well-being of residents during the night
  • Support and assist parents when needed, participate in the care of children aged 0 to 6 years
  • Coordinate with the educational team and pass on useful information
  • Carry out night watches (8:45pm-12:00am active / 12:00am-6:00am passive / 6:00am-6:45am active) and manage any emergency situations that may arise


Profile sought

  • Basic training related to social, health or childhood fields (for example CRS health auxiliary)
  • Experience in caring for newborns and young children
  • Experience of night watches in a similar environment, an advantage
  • Good personal organisation, autonomy, adaptability and priority management
  • Excellent listening skills, empathy and team spirit
  • Availability during the week and at weekends
  • Clean criminal record
