The Youth Service (SEJ) is tasked with addressing youth-related issues and its role in the development of collective actions in the City of Geneva. It works to promote the socio-professional integration of young people while preventing the risks of exclusion by strengthening the ties between youth and other societal actors. The SEJ also provides night monitoring in neighborhoods to reduce the risks of exclusion and promote well-being together. To ensure the coherence of its actions, it collaborates closely with various stakeholders in the youth and socio-cultural fields. The SEJ primarily targets young people aged 12 to 25; however, some of its areas of action, particularly in socio-cultural activities or social monitoring, concern all residents of the City of Geneva.In order to complete its team, the service is looking for a Night Correspondent at 50%.Your mission and responsibilities:- Prevent, reduce, and resolve conflicts as well as nuisances present in public spaces, in order to strengthen social ties within a defined perimeter.- Ensure social monitoring, particularly regarding youth-related issues.- Carry out tasks and follow up with the network, in accordance with the requirements related to the profile.- Hold a diploma X and possess excellent skills, a strong sense of public service, as well as the ability to analyze issues and intervene in both daily and emergency situations.- Have confirmed professional experience in the field of conflict management.- Show a strong interest in issues related to communal well-being and not have any reluctance to wear the work uniform defined by the service during rounds.- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills, adaptability to circumstances, and keep up with developments in methods and tools, and be able to work at night, on weekends, outdoors, and according to irregular hours.- Have good physical condition and be capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions.Conditions and application procedure:Application deadline: Start date: to be agreed uponJob classification: Class G of the salary scaleThe application file must contain the following elements:- Letter of motivation, CV, or, failing that, a completed job application form (available for download on our website)- Copies of diplomas and work certificates- Recent passport-sized photoIn the City of Geneva's recruitment process, it is decentralized.
