Museum Technician Job Description As a museum technician, you actively contribute to the care and management of archaeological collections. In this role, you are at the Deposit and Shelter of Cultural Property located in Lucens (DABC) and work alongside the museum technician stationed at the Palais de Rumine in Lausanne. Serving culture and your role requires versatility and rigor. Responsibilities Manage the technical activities of the deposits (DABC) in Lucens and Moudon, ensuring the smooth operation of the deposits and the management of collections (DABC) in Lucens and Moudon. Participate in the design of scenographic elements and exhibition layout. Take part in all deposit activities of the MCAH. Ensure maintenance, control, and management of the function vehicle for technical support (a useful profession for the role). Previous experience of at least 5 years in a similar position within a museum institution, a category B driving license, and technical skills (carpentry, locksmithing, electricity). Knowledge of MS Office, expertise in archaeology and history, knowledge of handling and packaging archaeological and historical objects. Familiarity with building safety standards, regulations, and the Flora software, with a capacity for mobility (position based at MCAH deposits in Lucens, except on Mondays during exhibition setups or replacement of the museum technician at the Palais de Rumine). Excellent ability to work in a team with a strong sense of responsibility. WHO WE ARE?
