Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule and independently execute laboratory, greenhouse and field experiments.
- Collect, analyse and document data in compliance with internal and patent requirements.
- Prepare detailed experiment records, technical reports, databases, tables and graphs.
- Present and discuss results with supervisors and project teams.
- Conduct specialised studies (mode of action, uptake, metabolism, application timing, activity profiling, etc.).
- Work with biological materials under S2 biosafety conditions and perform sterile techniques.
- Establish, optimise and further develop experimental methods.
- Take responsibility for specific equipment, facilities or technical areas.
Profile & Skills
- Background in horticulture, agronomy or biology (apprenticeship, BMS, BSc or equivalent technical training).
- Experience with plants and plant diseases; knowledge in microbiology required.
- Additional experience in molecular biology or microscopy is a plus.
- Good command of German and English (B2 level or above).
- Autonomous, well-organised, quick to learn and able to adapt to shifting priorities.
- Strong scientific understanding, good decision-making skills and effective teamwork.
