Metal Construction Project Manager (M/F)

Location: Yverdon-les-Bains, Canton of Vaud, Switzerland Company: P+P Pragma-Tec Sàrl Contract type: Permanent – Full-time (42h/week)

Position open to cross-border profiles and European candidates willing to work in Switzerland.

P+P Pragma-Tec Sàrl is a Swiss company specialised in the design, manufacture and installation of customised equipment. With 40 employees spread between Switzerland and our subsidiary in Romania, we support demanding international clients such as Nestlé, Merck, UCB in the industrial, food and pharmaceutical sectors.

In Yverdon-les-Bains, you will join a close-knit team of project managers, working directly with the design office, the manufacturing workshop and management.

Metal structures and frameworks Technical platforms, walkways, stairs and guardrails Mechanically welded equipment and industrial installations Silos, piping and production lines Projects for regulated environments (pharma, food industry)

Your role

You manage your metal construction projects from A to Z: from analysing the client’s request to the final acceptance on site. You are the coordinator between the client, the design office, the workshop and the assembly teams, ensuring respect for deadlines, costs, quality and safety.

Your main responsibilities

Sales & Estimation

• Analysis of client specifications and plans
• Technical visits before offer and site measurements
• Complete cost calculation (materials, manufacturing, assembly)
• Writing offers and presenting technical variants
• Commercial negotiation and follow-up of client reminders

Technical Management & Design Office

• 3D modelling and supervision of assembly, detail and manufacturing plans
• Dimensioning of plates and anchors
• Verification of bolted and welded assemblies
• Validation of bills of materials and cutting lists
• Control of material quantities and resolution of technical issues

Purchasing & Supply

• Consultation of suppliers (steel, stainless steel, galvanising, painting)
• Comparison of offers, price and deadline negotiation
• Order placement in Bexio and follow-up of confirmations
• Control of delivery times and management of site supplies

Production & Site

• Launch of manufacturing and organisation of workshop priorities
• Preparation of site interventions (equipment lists, lifting means, platforms)
• Coordination of assembly teams and management of unforeseen events
• Site meetings and progress monitoring
• On-site quality control and management of non-conformities

Safety & Documentation

• Development of safety concepts and site risk analyses
• Preparation of client documents (regulated industries)
• Preparation of quality and as-built files Collection of EN 10204 material certificates

Financial Management

• Budget monitoring and analysis of planning/budget variances
• Margin control and preparation of invoicing
• Profitability analysis and feedback

Profile sought

• Technical training in metal construction, boilermaking, mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in metal construction/industrial structure project management
• Proficiency in 3D modelling (Inventor, SolidWorks or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of metal assemblies and manufacturing constraints
• Experience in project estimation and supplier negotiation
• Knowledge of site safety standards (industrial environments a plus)
• Fluent French mandatory; technical English and/or German appreciated

• Salary from CHF 6,000 gross/month, adapted to your experience
• 13th salary paid monthly

• Flexible hours: 8:00-8:30 / 17:00 (Friday 16:00)
