Located in the heart of Lausanne (Rumine region) with stunning lake views, our modern and spacious clinic is home to a competent and collaborative team of specialist doctors, optometrists, and administrative staff.
We provide innovative medical and surgical treatments for a large number of patients referred from across Suisse Romande and internationally. Our dedicated glaucoma research unit further strengthens our commitment to excellence. We work in close partnership with leading clinics and hospitals in Lausanne, including Hirslanden’s Clinique Bois-Cerf and Genolier’s Clinique Montchoisi.
Medical secretary/patient care coordinator
Position: Secretary / Receptionist
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and personable individual to join our administrative team. In this central role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, doctors, and external partners, ensuring the smooth operation of consultations, surgical procedures, and the doctors agendas. Your ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure will be key to supporting our fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
•Reception and Front Desk Management: Warmly welcome patients and visitors in person and over the phone, providing a professional and warm first impression.
• Administrative Coordination: Manage appointments, surgical schedules, and the doctors' agendas, ensuring seamless organization.
• Liaison and Communication: Act as the primary contact for external doctors, clinics, hospitals, insurance companies, and patients, maintaining clear and professional communication.
• Process Optimization: Contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative systems to enhance efficiency and patient experience.
• Support Tasks: Assist with basic accounting, billing (facturation), and coordination with fiduciaries, as well as personal assistant duties when needed.
• Patient Interaction: Provide compassionate and clear explanations to patients, addressing their queries with care and professionalism. Your Profile:
• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in management, executive assistance, secretarial roles, or similar administrative positions.
• Desirable Skills: • Experience in basic accounting, billing, or liaison with fiduciaries. • Familiarity with clinical research data management (Excel).
• Prior experience in the healthcare sector desirable.
• Languages: Fluent/native French is essential. Additional languages (particularly English) are a strong asset.
