Comprising nearly 800 employees, the Department of Acute Medicine (D-MA) includes the services of anesthesiology, clinical pharmacology and toxicology, adult intensive care, and adult emergencies. It responds to a quadruple mission through its services, which provide their expertise in frequent interaction with all the Geneva University Hospitals, aiming to ensure the best possible management of pain through multidisciplinary teams. The pain management teams aim to offer a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to improve pain and/or pain management, as well as enhance physical, psychological, social, and professional functioning. The team develops with each patient a tailored program adapted to the medical specialties represented in the following fields: anesthesiology, clinical pharmacology and toxicology, general internal medicine, physical medicine, neurology, and rehabilitation. The team also includes psychologists, specialized nurses, pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians who directly support the comprehensive care provided. The multidisciplinary pain management teams are also responsible for organizing and ensuring pre-graduate and continuing education in the field of pain management, as well as implementing research protocols.Medical Secretary in Pain Management - 80% to 100%You will perform all tasks related to pain management, which is directly linked to the Department of Acute Medicine. You will manage appointments, patient files, and documents, and organize complementary examinations, ensuring the proper trajectory of the medical file and follow-up. You will receive phone calls and greet patients and/or their families. You will manage patient files and insurance matters (follow-up, typing of documents, research, filing, etc.) and participate in the follow-up of files. You will enter and update data related to the activity. You will organize and prepare conferences, write and format various documents (correspondence, minutes, medical reports, protocols, etc.), and handle logistical tasks such as work requests, stock management, etc. Due to your ease of interaction, you will develop a close relationship with your colleagues and ensure service continuity during absences. More generally, your sense of service makes you an agile person ready to apply your versatility in different departments depending on the needs.You hold a medical secretary diploma or equivalent, or any qualification deemed relevant. You have successfully completed 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position within a medical environment. You have a perfect command of written and spoken French and a proven ability to communicate in writing. Medical terminology is easily understandable to you. Knowledge of English is an asset. You have very good knowledge of necessary tools (advanced ECDL level on Word and basic on Excel REQUIRED) as well as the software in use at HUG (DPA, DPI, GRECO, Qualiac, Opale). Equipped with a good team spirit, you have the ability to work in a shared office with several secretaries while having an excellent sense of organization and prioritization. You are an autonomous, dynamic, rigorous, and precise person in the tasks assigned to you, and you possess tools that allow you to handle unforeseen circumstances and manage stress easily.
