Job Description

For our general medical practice in Biel we are looking for

One or Two Medical Assistant(s) F/M

(1x100% or 2x50%-60%)

This position requires versatility as you will be active in our general medical practice and our Walk-in Clinic, which is an emergency medical practice with consultations with and/or without appointments.

Your main responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Ensure the reception, orientation and support of patients with professionalism and kindness.
  • Manage telephone duty, appointment scheduling and message handling.
  • Perform routine care such as blood draws, injections, infusions and assist doctors during specific medical procedures.
  • Carry out usual diagnostic tests: laboratory, ECG, conventional radiology, 24-hour blood pressure monitoring, sleep apnoea screening, spirometry, etc.
  • Ensure the administrative follow-up of patient files and various administrative tasks related to the smooth running of the practice.
  • Actively participate in the quality of care and the smooth running of daily medical activities.

Qualifications

  • Holder of a Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as Medical Assistant.
  • Experience in a medical practice, medical centre or outpatient emergency service is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong sense of hospitality.
  • Dynamic, flexible and versatile personality, able to adapt to a constantly evolving environment.
  • Ability to manage priorities, work independently and rigorously.
  • Strong team spirit and willingness to contribute to a collaborative working atmosphere.
  • Good command of French, with good knowledge of German. Any other language is an advantage.
