Reference: CLS/RH/2026.772 / Contract type: Permanent contract at 90% (1 variable day off every 2 weeks) / Hours: Monday to Friday with 2 shifts: 7:45am-4:45pm / 8:00am-5:00pm / Start date: as soon as we find the right person / Location: in the heart of Lausanne (M2 stop "Riponne" or Bus 2, 3 or 21 stop "Beaulieu-Jomini")

Why do we need you?

To support the activity of our Pre-Anaesthetic Consultation, we are looking for a Medical Assistant who will help provide each patient with calm, personalised and quality care. As a true interface between patients, anaesthetist doctors and external partners, you will work within a committed team where your technical expertise, organisational skills and interpersonal abilities will make a difference.

What will you be expected to do?

• Welcome patients, their relatives and various contacts in person and by phone, ensuring professional and caring support.
• Organise and coordinate appointments for pre-anaesthetic consultations.
• Compile, check and prepare patients’ medical files.
• Assist anaesthetist doctors during consultations and contribute to the smooth running of care.
• Perform medical-technical acts within the Medical Assistant’s competencies, including blood sampling, electrocardiograms (ECG), Uricult, urine sticks and nasopharyngeal swabs, on prescription or medical request (about 10% of activity).
• Enter services for billing purposes.
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail as well as sending files to prescribing practices.
• Oversee stock management of medical equipment and consumables, ensure their replenishment and place necessary orders.

• The team includes two dynamic and complementary medical assistants who work closely with the anaesthetist doctors. Always smiling and cheerful, they face daily challenges together.

• Jean-Marc Dehillotte, Head of Anaesthesia, Recovery Room and Pre-Anaesthetic Consultation, has over 25 years of experience in this field. A local manager since 2019, he adopts a participative and human management style based on strong professional values, supporting both care excellence and the professional development of his team.

What do we expect from you?

Essentials:

• Federal Diploma of Medical Assistant or equivalent recognised training in Switzerland.
• Experience in a role combining reception, administrative management and medical-technical acts.
• Proficiency in blood sampling, electrocardiograms (ECG) and other technical acts within the Medical Assistant’s competencies.
• Excellent organisational, planning and prioritisation skills.
• Service-mindedness, interpersonal ease and ability to establish a climate of trust with patients.
• Rigor, autonomy and discretion in managing medical information.
• Comfort with IT tools and patient file management software.
• Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.

Your assets:

• Experience in pre-anaesthetic consultation, anaesthesia or in a hospital or clinic environment.
• Knowledge of the patient pathway in ambulatory surgery or operating theatre.
• Mastery of the electronic patient record (Clevehr) and/or medical billing software (Opale).
• Knowledge of one or more foreign languages, especially English.
• Team spirit, flexibility and adaptability.
