This department combines a societal mission aimed at providing access to care for all and an academic mission aimed at providing pre- and post-graduate teaching and research in primary care medicine.The Primary Care Medicine Service (SMPR) ensures the care of adults falling under primary care medicine. This service also offers emergency medicine services. As part of the general interest missions of the HUG, it offers access to care for populations disadvantaged by their age, social, economic, or legal status (asylum seekers, those subject to non-entry decisions, undocumented persons, prisoners), or their lifestyle habits; as needed, the primary care medicine service also ensures the continuity of their care.Deputy Physician in Charge of the Asylum and Refugee Health Unit (USAR) – 100%In your capacity as head of the Asylum and Refugee Health Unit (USAR), you carry out and supervise clinical and academic activities and ensure and participate in the proper functioning of the unit by coordinating and collaborating with your multidisciplinary team, composed of physicians, social workers, nurses, and administrative staff.You also bear responsibility for the medical services offered to asylum seekers and migrants within the institution. You ensure the medical coordination of the Asylum Health Care Network (RSA) in collaboration with the Hospice Général.You are committed to offering a dynamic and caring work environment by valuing and developing the skills of your team. Thanks to your leadership, you have the ability to unite your team around common objectives and involve them in development, research, and teaching projects.You assist the management in the design, organization, and delivery of pre- and post-graduate teaching. You also contribute to the development of quality research within your unit. You have developed research areas and projects in the field of asylum and refugee health, with academic production (including funding).As a specialist in migrant health, you represent the unit (USAR), the service (SMPR), and the department (DMCPR) both within the HUG and to any external interlocutor.You hold a medical degree (or a title deemed equivalent recognized by the Medical Professions Commission of the Federal Office of Public Health (MEBEKO)) and a specialty title in public health and social medicine. You possess the right to practice allowing you to work in the canton of Geneva.You have several years of experience in community health, with supervision of work and management of studies. You can also justify successful experience in supervision or team management.
