MechanicJob DescriptionAs a mechanic, you will ensure the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of vehicles and machinery for the Vaud cantonal road service and the Intercantonal Service for Motorway Network Maintenance (SIERA).Responsibilities- Independently ensure, within a team, the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of vehicles and machinery for the Vaud cantonal road service and the Intercantonal Service for Motorway Network Maintenance (SIERA).- Perform maintenance and repair work on equipment assigned to road maintenance and its surroundings.- During the winter season, you will be integrated into the on-call service to ensure the troubleshooting of vehicles for the entire fleet.- All work - varied and interesting - is carried out in compliance with the environment, safety rules, and established principles and procedures.- For further information, please consult the job description by clicking here.Profile- Federal Certificate of Proficiency (CFC) as an automotive mechanic (commercial vehicles), construction machinery mechanic, agricultural machinery mechanic, or a technical profession relevant to the role.- Several years of experience in one of the aforementioned fields of mechanics.- Driving license for light vehicles (B) required, and heavy goods vehicles (C) a real asset.- Personal vehicle.- Good health and aptitude for working in the relevant sector.- Sense of responsibility.Who are we?The Directorate General for Mobility and Roads (DGMR) defines and implements a coherent policy for transport systems.
