On behalf of one of our clients, a manufacturer in the Bernese Jura, we are looking for a:ToolmakerYour missionAt the heart of the tooling department, you will be responsible for the performance and precision of cutting tools. Your main responsibilities include:Assembly: Complete assembly, adjustment, and fine-tuning of new stamping dies (progressive and cutting blocks) for complex components.Precision machining: Machining of tooling components on conventional and/or CNC machines (milling, turning, wire EDM).Maintenance and repair: Maintenance, sharpening, and repair of the existing die inventory to ensure production continuity.Testing and validation: Conducting press trials, analysis of the first parts produced (aesthetic and dimensional self-inspection).Technical collaboration: Active collaboration with the technical office to optimize the design of future tools.ProfileEducation: Holder of a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (CFC) as a toolmaker, polymechanic, or micromechanic (or equivalent).Experience: Confirmed experience of at least 3 to 5 years in the manufacturing and fine-tuning of stamping dies (the watchmaking or connector sector is a serious asset).Technical skills: Excellent mastery of traditional adjustment techniques, blueprint reading, and metrology. Knowledge of CNC or EDM is an asset.Personal qualities: Rigor, meticulousness, excellent vision, and a developed analytical mind for solving fine-tuning problems.
