Job description:
Mandated by one of our clients, an international industrial player recognised for its technological expertise and high-precision solutions, we are looking for a Internal Machining Manager & Apprenticeship Centre Manager.
In this key role, you take responsibility for a strategic machining department as well as the training programme for apprentice polymechanics.
A true operational driver, you actively contribute to industrial performance, continuous improvement and the development of tomorrow’s talents.

Your responsibilities
Management of the machining workshop
  • Define and implement manufacturing strategies for CNC turning and milling centres
  • Ensure productivity, quality and machine utilisation rate targets
  • Oversee daily operations and optimise production resources
  • Reduce non-conformities and ensure a high level of quality requirements Management & continuous improvement
  • Supervise, support and develop the polymechanics teams
  • Deploy continuous improvement actions according to Lean / Six Sigma methodologies
  • Establish and monitor department performance indicators
  • Standardise processes and write operational procedures
Management of the Apprenticeship Centre
  • Supervise the entire 4-year training course for apprentice polymechanics
  • Ensure effective organisation of training time and educational follow-up
  • Support apprentices until they obtain their Federal VET Diploma (CFC)
  • Actively participate in the transmission of technical know-how
Compliance & standards
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, safety rules and ESG requirements
  • Ensure the application of good industrial and organisational practices

Job requirements:
Your profile
  • Higher education in mechanics, microtechnology or industrial engineering
  • Proven experience in managing a CNC machining workshop
  • Strong team management skills
  • Very good knowledge of manufacturing processes, CNC turning and milling
  • Mastery of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or DMAIC tools
  • Good command of MS Office tools; SAP is an advantage
  • Excellent analytical skills, organisational sense and results orientation
  • Fluent French and good level of English; German is a real asset
