Mission & Purpose: At ZIS, we surface and inspire each learner's curiosity, critical thinking, and high expectations for their learning so that they positively impact their family, community, and the world. We are seeking a Lower Primary English as an Additional Language (EAL) Teacher starting August 2027 to cultivate language acquisition, relational learning, academic growth, and transferable competencies across both our international and bilingual classrooms. Key Responsibilities: Nurture an inclusive environment where young language learners feel known, valued, and empowered to access the curriculum with confidence. Apply Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) principles, co-teaching models, and small-group support to integrate language development into everyday classroom inquiry across international and bilingual pathways. Honor home languages, celebrate cultural nuance and linguistic diversity, and build early confidence in language acquisition. Build strong, transparent relationships with parents to keep them connected to their child's language development journey and wellbeing. Skills & Qualifications: Demonstrated expertise in EAL instruction and lower primary pedagogy across international and bilingual settings. Deep understanding and practical application of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) methodologies. Flexibility to collaborate, co-plan, and co-teach with homeroom teachers across both streams. Focus on multilingualism, intercultural understanding, and relational classroom practices.
