Living Collections Inventory OfficerJob DescriptionIn your capacity as a Living Collections Inventory Officer, you play a role in the management and development of our botanical collection. Passionate about the plant world and rigorous in data processing, you put your scientific skills at the service of our collections and our daily projects. You ensure the traceability and scientific compliance of our living specimens while maintaining the digital tools that support our activities.Responsibilities- Manage the labeling system for living collections.- Establish the scientific inventory of living collections.- Ensure the maintenance and updating of databases.- Participate in research projects under the supervision of a specialist.- Contribute to conservation and research work.For further information, please consult the job specifications by clicking here.Education- Degree in biology/life sciences, University of Applied Sciences (or equivalent).- Knowledge of botany or equivalent.Professional Experience- Minimum 1 to 2 years of professional experience in a scientific institution, and/or in a citizen science project.Skills- Oral and written mastery of English and German.- Level of mutual aid and teamwork.- Time management, writing skills, global vision, and sense of organization.WHO ARE WE?Serving cultural actors, the population, and the territory, the Directorate General of Culture (DGC), composed of nearly 450 employees, develops and implements the cantonal public policy in cultural matters.
