LIVE-IN NANNY / HOUSEKEEPER – 100%

BeeBoo is looking for an experienced, dynamic, proactive and highly flexible live-in Nanny / Housekeeper for a mother based in Geneva, to support her in her daily life and care for her 4-year-old daughter. The family recently relocated to Geneva after living in London. The mother is now looking for a trustworthy person who wishes to make a long-term commitment to her daughter and to the smooth running of the household. This is a genuine 100% live-in position. Previous successful experience working and living within a private household in a live-in role is therefore essential.

ROLE ORGANISATION

The family is looking for someone fully available within the framework of a live-in position, with the daily schedule generally organised within a timeframe of 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Monday to Saturday. This timeframe does not mean 12 hours of continuous working time. Actual working hours, breaks and rest periods will be organised in accordance with applicable legal requirements and the Geneva CTT-EDom. The nanny’s presence is particularly important in the morning for the child’s routine, as well as at the end of the day and in the early evening. While the child is at school, working time will be organised according to the household’s needs and will include general housekeeping, laundry, cooking and assistance with the family’s day-to-day organisation. On Saturdays, the family requires someone who can be available until approximately 7:00/8:00 pm, according to the agreed schedule. As the mother is raising her daughter on her own, she is looking for someone who is genuinely flexible, reliable and available, able to provide continuity in the family’s daily organisation and take full responsibility when required.

CHILDCARE RESPONSIBILITIES

The nanny’s responsibilities will include:

• preparing breakfast and managing the child’s morning routine;
• getting the child ready and accompanying her to school or the school bus;
• collecting her after school;
• caring for her until her mother returns;
• organising age-appropriate activities, outings, trips to the park and playdates;
• preparing meals and snacks when required;
• managing the evening routine;
• ensuring her overall well-being, safety and development;
• taking sole charge of the child when the mother needs to be away;
• being flexible for occasional babysitting or overnight care when the mother is travelling;
• occasionally accompanying the family on trips when required.

HOUSEHOLD RESPONSIBILITIES

While the child is at school, the candidate will actively contribute to the smooth running of the household, including:

• general housekeeping and tidying;
• preparing and maintaining bedrooms and beds;
• laundry management;
• day-to-day tidying and organisation;
• meal preparation and family cooking;
• grocery shopping and small household-related errands when required;
• maintaining a clean, organised and pleasant home environment;
• providing general support to the mother with the day-to-day organisation of the household.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

The family is looking for a candidate who:

• has solid experience caring for children around 4 years old;
• has proven experience as a Nanny / Housekeeper within private households;
• has previously held a live-in position and lived in their employer’s home;
• is genuinely looking for a 100% live-in position and understands the flexibility inherent in this type of role;
• is dynamic, proactive, thorough and highly organised;
• is warm, caring and attentive with children;
• is autonomous and confident taking initiative;
• is capable of managing both childcare responsibilities and the day-to-day organisation of the household;
• is particularly reliable and flexible;
• speaks French or English;
• holds the appropriate documentation allowing them to work in Switzerland and travel with the family;
• is comfortable around cats and has no cat allergies.

A driving licence and own vehicle are not required for this position. Above all, the family is looking for someone who wishes to make a long-term commitment to the role and become a reliable part of the family’s day-to-day organisation.

CONDITIONS
