Job Description

As part of strengthening its IT team, our client is looking for a Level 1 IT Support Technician. This versatile role combines user support and operational management of IT equipment, thus contributing to the smooth daily running of the company’s services.

Your responsibilities

As the first point of contact for users, you provide local IT support and actively participate in managing the hardware inventory.

In particular, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing first-level IT support to employees on-site (phone, email, ticketing tool).
  • Preparing, installing, and configuring workstations for new employees.
  • Managing user accounts, access rights, and password resets.
  • Assisting users in resolving common incidents related to IT environments.
  • Handling issues concerning:
    • Windows 11 workstations
    • Microsoft 365 tools
    • IT equipment (laptops, monitors, printers, and peripherals);
    • First-level network connectivity and VPN access.
  • Recording, qualifying, and following up on requests in the ticket management tool.
  • Escalating incidents requiring additional expertise to level 2 and 3 support teams in accordance with current procedures.
  • Participating in the application of IT service management best practices according to the ITIL framework.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of service quality and proposing IT process optimisation ideas.
  • Performing administrative tasks related to the role: documentation, reports, controls, and updating the internal knowledge base.

Profile sought

  • Training in IT or an equivalent qualification.
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar IT support role.
  • Excellent analytical, diagnostic, and technical incident resolution skills.
  • Good knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Android, and Microsoft Intune environments.
  • Knowledge of ITIL principles and processes.
  • ITIL Foundation certification (v4 or v5) is an advantage.
  • Strong service orientation and ability to communicate effectively with users of varied profiles.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously, prioritise tasks, and work in an organised and rigorous manner.
  • Fluent French and good knowledge of technical English.
