Job Description
The Labour Market Surveillance Directorate (DISMAT) is responsible in particular for combating undeclared work and implementing accompanying measures for the free movement of persons. It protects workers by enforcing occupational health and safety (OHS) standards and also regulates migrant labour.
As a labour inspector, you check the compliance of working conditions and the organisation of health and safety prevention in industrial and non-industrial companies in accordance with the Labour Act (LTr), the Accident Insurance Act (LAA) and the MSST directive.
You promote occupational safety and health in companies and examine the compliance of company premises plans in order to issue authorisations.
Finally, you also contribute to detecting offences related to the Foreign Nationals Act (LTN).
Responsibilities

Examine the compliance of company premises plans and issue authorisations;
Contribute to detecting offences related to the Foreign Nationals Act (LTN);
- Carry out any task or mission assigned by the hierarchy.

Qualifications
- Degree from an EPF, HES engineer school or university degree. Safety engineer, ergonomist or occupational hygienist.
- Federal diploma as a specialist in Occupational Safety and Health Protection (STPS).
- Good practical technical and scientific knowledge. Experience in an activity related to labour law and/or occupational safety and health prevention (physical and psychological) in a private or public structure.
- Driving licence and use of a personal vehicle.
- Proficiency in German, English or Italian would be an asset.
