Fixed-Term First Job - Technician at the Industrial Projects and Digital Solutions Department (PID). The mission is to permanently guarantee the quality control of products resulting from the various activities of SIG, notably drinking water, wastewater, and waste management. They also participate in online measurement processes and data processing, by providing support to operators, conducting technical feasibility studies, and contributing to specific quality projects. As a technician, you contribute to the control and continuous improvement of processes related to water quality monitoring as well as the quality of services provided. In this capacity, you ensure the maintenance and technical development of energy systems at the service of a sustainable Geneva.As part of their missions, the team is committed to ensuring high-quality monitoring while accompanying the operator in the continuous improvement of their measurement and monitoring processes. In this perspective, research, testing, and development of analytical techniques in chemistry and microbiology need to be regularly conducted in order to make our control devices more reliable.Within the framework of your position, you will be in charge of:- Providing support to field sampling teams and internal analysis teams;- Actively participating in the development and validation of analytical methods in connection with current issues;- Conducting a feasibility study on recent analytical techniques and their potential for implementation;- Providing support for the maintenance of the equipment fleet.Personality and skills:You demonstrate a strong critical spirit and solid analytical skills, and possess excellent writing skills and a good command of documentation processes. Organized and rigorous, you enjoy teamwork and contribute effectively to the team dynamic. You master the usual tools necessary for the exercise of the position.
