The first 3 semesters of your apprenticeship will take place full-time at the Intercantonal Professional School of Chemistry (EPIC), while the last 3 semesters will take place in the company at CIMO, under the supervision of a mentor, with theoretical courses at EPIC one day per week.At the end of the first 3 semesters at EPIC, where you will have become familiar with the basics of the profession, you will join the central laboratory where you will discover analyses mainly conducted on water, soil, and air. You will have the opportunity to rotate between 2 departments in which you will be trained, among other things, on AVH methods (Wet Chemical Analysis) and CGL (Gas-Liquid Chromatography).Your days will be structured by the sampling of materials, analyses, and the presentation of results. You will also discover instrumental analytics dedicated to identifying and quantifying micropollutants.
