**YOUR PROFILE**

 

Do you want to bring your financial expertise to a dynamic international educational institution? Look no further than Collège Alpin Beau Soleil, where we are looking for a Junior Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant to join our finance team for a 6-month contract on a 50% basis. In this role, you will ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, maintain strong vendor relationships, and support our accounts payable function with precision and diligence.

 

As a key member of our Finance team, you will verify invoices, manage vendor files, resolve discrepancies, and prepare electronic transfers. You will also review employee expense reports and assist with month-end closing processes, ensuring adherence to our internal control policies.

**YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

* Process and verify invoices, ensuring proper coding and entry.
* Maintain vendor files and manage communications regarding discrepancies.
* Prepare and process electronic transfers
* Review and process employee expense reports in compliance with company policies.
* Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
* Perform credit card reconciliation.
* Handle petty cash transactions and ensure accurate record-keeping.
* Contribute to balance sheet reconciliation.
* Assist with month-end closing and accounts payable accruals.
* Support audit activities by gathering necessary documentation.
* Adhere to internal control policies and procedures.
* Perform general administrative duties and support special projects.

 

**EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS**

* Bachelor-s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred; an associate degree with relevant experience will also be considered.
* Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
* Proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel
* Prior experience with an ERP system, Navision BC is highly desirable
