We are seeking an experienced Java Technical Leader to support a development team in a digital context with high quality requirements. The role combines technical expertise, leadership, team support, and close collaboration with business lines. The position involves active participation in design, development, code review, as well as the improvement of technical processes.Main Responsibilities1. Architecture & Technical Expertise- Design the architecture and technical solutions for projects. Define technical designs, select appropriate frameworks and libraries.- Take charge of the most complex developments and resolve technical blockers.- Ensure code quality: code reviews, compliance with standards, good management of technical debt.- Perform continuous technological monitoring and propose improvements.2. Mentoring & Leadership- Technically guide the development team and ensure the consistency of technical choices.- Support the skills development of junior and experienced developers.- Participate in recruitment and the onboarding of new team members.3. Project Management & Collaboration- Analyze functional needs and translate them into robust technical solutions.- Estimate workloads, contribute to planning, and collaborate with Product Owners.- Identify risks, anticipate dependencies, and ensure deadlines are met.- Supervise or write technical documentation, architecture documentation, and specifications.- Act as the link between technical teams, project teams, and business stakeholders.- Clearly communicate technical issues and propose adapted solutions.- Actively participate in a collaborative and multidisciplinary work environment.Java Technical LeaderRequired SkillsTechnical Skills- Excellent mastery of Java development and microservices architectures.- Proven experience in technical design and architectural choices.- Very good knowledge of modern Java frameworks (Spring, etc.).- Mastery of software quality practices: unit tests, code reviews, CI/CD.- Ability to manage technical debt and anticipate obsolescence.Soft Skills & Leadership- Ability to unite and motivate a team.- Excellent oral and written communication skills (C2 level required).- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.- Analytical and synthesis skills, and a global vision of projects.- Diplomacy and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work in an agile environment.Experience & Prerequisites- Proven experience as a Java Tech Lead or similar role.- Successful experience in supporting and developing the skills of development teams.- Experience in digital transformation projects.- Experience in the public sector or in the Swiss judicial field is a significant asset.Deliverables- High-quality source code.- Test suites.- Technical documentation and development processes.- Study reports and technical analyses.Conditions- Hybrid work: on-site presence and teleworking.- Commitment to a demanding, structured, and quality-oriented environment.- You demonstrate team spirit and good interpersonal skills.
