The IT department of the City of Sion mainly supports the various services, develops IT projects, and manages the internet and intranet platforms in collaboration with various internal and external partners.

The team also works closely, in line with the needs of the services, with its external partners who provide services in different areas such as municipal applications (ERP), micro-computing, IT network, and IT security.

The City of Sion is advertising a position of

IT Specialist M/F with an activity rate of 80-100%

within the General Administration service, Information Systems section.

Main missions

• Develop and implement the City’s IT projects;
• Assist colleagues in the use of IT/communication and multimedia tools;
• Manage IT, communication, and multimedia equipment;
• Collaborate in managing the City’s internet/intranet sites;
• Coordinate interventions of service providers and suppliers;
• Participate in various tasks and missions of the Information Systems section.

Employment conditions

• Hold a Bachelor of Science in Business IT or equivalent experience;
• Experience in project management would be an asset;
• Have good knowledge of Windows and Web development;
• Have good knowledge of relational database environments;
• Demonstrate expertise with Microsoft environments and tools;
• Understand the functioning and procedures specific to a public administration;
• Conduct pragmatic and solution-oriented analyses;
• Show availability, reliability, and autonomy;
• Take responsibility, communicate clearly, and respect confidentiality of information;
• Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams;
• Manage stressful situations calmly and efficiently;
• Be interested in developments and new technologies.

Salary
