With nearly 4,500 employees, the Department of Acute Medicine (DMA) includes the services of anesthesiology, clinical pharmacology and toxicology, intensive care, and emergency services. It fulfills a fourfold mission through its services which regularly interact with all of the University Hospitals of Geneva, thanks to a cross-functional approach, aimed at ensuring the best possible care. The clinical pharmacology and toxicology service guarantees and promotes, through the clinical work of health professionals, the quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness of drug therapy. The management of prescriptions is a key focus of the service, particularly among vulnerable populations (children, the elderly). The service is the regional reference center for pharmacovigilance. It also provides recognized multidisciplinary care in the field of pain management. In all these areas, the service offers teaching and research. Position: Internal Medicine Doctor in the Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology Service - 80% to 100% Your mission alternates between the different areas of clinical pharmacology and toxicology, namely the management of the therapeutic and toxicological center, pharmacogenomics and personalized therapies, gerontopharmacology, and/or polypharmacy. The primary objective is to improve the management of complex medication treatments in vulnerable patients and to personalize treatment based on drug interactions, renal function, or adherence. You will also participate in various activities of the service, provide consultancy to hospitalized individuals, and engage in clinical pharmacology and toxicology activities. Requirements: You hold a Swiss federal medical diploma or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Medical Professions Commission (MEBEKO). Clinical experience is a prerequisite for joining our positions in clinical pharmacology and toxicology, particularly in the field of general internal medicine or a medical specialty. For non-French speakers, a C1 level in French is required. Excellent communication skills allow you to interact within a multidisciplinary team and with patients.
