Furthermore, Novelis is at the forefront of the industry through its sustainability and recycling efforts.Participate in our mission to create a sustainable world and start as soon as possible working at our site in Sierre, Switzerland.Intern (100%)Your responsibilities:- Development and maintenance of quality control tools with data analysis from laser line sensors and cameras on an aluminum strip production line.- Implementation of graphical SPC (Statistical Process Control) monitoring of critical parameters of a continuous production line.- Monitoring of a batch compliance prediction model.- Tracking of ML model performance.- Continuous update (Drift management).- Strip flatness reports with analysis of the strip profile via laser line sensor (in IBA or with code processing profile data to measure the quality of the report / stamping of the strip).- Analysis of returned laser intensity (with text recognition (Computer vision + OCR)).- Comparison with instructions.- Measurement of defect similarity via images.- Comparison of defects via a system for grayscale images.- Batch search with defects.- Defect detection on the strip using laser intensity to detect defects.- Maintenance of web interfaces (model serving and reports).How to convince us:- You hold a bachelor's degree or are currently pursuing a Master's degree in engineering (EPFL, HES-SO, or equivalent).- You possess excellent analytical skills, a critical mind, and you are passionate about technologies and master Python and the basics of C# (notions of C# are a plus) and have initial experience with SQL and Power BI.- You have knowledge of machine learning and deep learning (PyTorch), computer vision (OpenCV, OCR), including associated frameworks (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow) as well as concepts of similarity search via embeddings.- French or German speaker, with good proficiency in the other language. jid733cf48aen jit0832aen jpiy26aen
