This assignment is for you!Start date: ASAPDuration: Full-time, 6 monthsWork type: AssignmentAbout the roleOur client, a major player in the design and manufacturing of high-precision measurement systems for the aeronautics and energy sectors, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support the System & Safety Engineering team. This is a 100% assignment for a duration of 6 months, based in Fribourg. As a Mechanical Engineer, your position involves managing and analyzing component changes and their impacts on production and compliance, as well as researching and sourcing alternatives to ensure continuity and compliance with standards, particularly in the aeronautics sector.Tasks- Examine Product Change Notifications (PCN) and Product Discontinuation Notices (PDN) concerning mechanical and electromechanical components.- Evaluate the impact of these changes and collaborate with manufacturers or distributors to identify alternatives.- Perform detailed Form/Fit/Function analyses.- Proceed with the validation of new components.- Investigate the composition of parts to assess compliance with environmental standards, rare earths, and exposure to risks related to critical materials.- Ensure the correct documentation of mechanical components for rapid response regarding various directives and regulations.We are looking for- Degree in mechanical engineering, systems engineering, or industrial engineering.- Knowledge of engineering standards and mechanical finishes.- Excellent interpersonal skills, rigor, and autonomy.- Fluent French and English level B2 minimum.- Ability to read technical data sheets.- Knowledge of ERP software.To succeed in this function, your personal skills are as follows:- Stress tolerant- Goal-oriented- Respectful jidf9cd68daen jit0417aen jpiy26aen
