Infrastructure Systems Engineer (m/f/d)

On behalf of our state client based in Fribourg, we are looking for an Infrastructure Systems SRE Engineer (m/f/d) responsible for designing, administering, and evolving Kubernetes and cloud platforms, while supporting the skills development of a future SRE team.
Your mission
- Design the technical architecture of Kubernetes clusters and an integrated cloud platform, taking into account infrastructure, security, and operational requirements.
- Administer, automate, and evolve the Kubernetes platform using Infrastructure as Code approaches, notably with Terraform, OpenTofu, and Ansible.
- Design and maintain CI, CD, and IaC pipelines, Kubernetes manifests, and Helm Charts necessary for various projects.
- Ensure support, operation, observability, and continuous improvement of solutions, while keeping documentation and repositories up to date.
- Transfer knowledge to internal infrastructure engineers and actively contribute to building and upskilling an SRE team.
Your profile
- Senior or expert Systems Engineer with proven experience in Kubernetes, Linux, Docker, VMware vSphere environments, and compute, storage, network, and backup infrastructures.
- Advanced mastery of Kubernetes and its ecosystem, including Helm, operators, network and storage components, observability, security, and CNCF Cloud Native solutions.
- Excellent command of YAML pipelines in Azure DevOps Server and Azure DevOps Services, as well as languages and tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
- Kubernetes certification required and certification or knowledge of the HERMES methodology expected, with good command of agile methods, Jira, Confluence, and DevOps and SecOps practices.
- French at C2 level and English at B2 level, as well as residence in Fribourg or nearby.
