ICT Architect (m/f/d)

For one of our public sector clients in Geneva, we are looking for an ICT Architect (m/f/d) responsible for defining and evolving a modular and scalable architecture for bespoke development solutions, ensuring overall technical coherence and reusability of components.
Your mission
- Drive the vision of a 3-tier, modular, and scalable application architecture, adapted to bespoke and multi-scope developments.
- Define and frame service-oriented architectures (SOA) and microservices, including containerisation (OpenShift) and approaches such as DDD / Clean Architecture / hexagonal model.
- Design and govern APIs and interoperability standards, integrating API Management solutions and exchange protocols (REST/SOAP, messaging as needed).
- Ensure security and authentication/authorisation mechanisms (protocols and standards), as well as requirements for performance, high availability, scalability, and application security.
- Support project teams and departments (facilitation, documentation, industrialisation of best practices, cross-functional repository), contribute to analyses, estimations, and investigation support, integrating resilience, observability, and distributed monitoring.
Your profile
- University Master’s degree in computer science or EPF/HES engineering diploma (or equivalent); continuing education such as CAS is an advantage.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in cross-functional architecture / application architecture in complex environments (bespoke development, multi-team).
- Proficiency in 3-tier architectures, SOA, API Management, microservices, OpenShift, and practices such as DDD / Clean Architecture / hexagonal.
- Strong command of authentication/authorisation protocols and mechanisms (e.g. OAuth2/OIDC, SAMLv2, Kerberos) and application security issues, with a strong sensitivity to software quality and user experience.
- Ability to structure cross-functional governance (departments, standards, documentation), manage risks and mitigation plans, with leadership, rigorous writing skills, initiative, and ease in an Agile environment.
