Your role

  • Actively participate in applied research projects in optics, industrial vision and metrology, notably for the development of innovative solutions dedicated to quality control and next-generation sensors.
  • Support and supervise students during practical work as well as Bachelor projects.
  • Contribute to the visibility of the research group and HE-Arc through the creation of demonstrators, the organisation of seminars and the writing of publications.
  • Provide support for metrology service activities, including microscopy, the use of three-dimensional measuring machines and X-ray inspection.

Your profile

  • Bachelor HES or Master (HES or EPF) degree in microtechnology, industrial computing (automated systems) or industrial engineering and management.
  • Strong knowledge of sensors, applied optics and dimensional metrology.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, C++, C#, Matlab or LabVIEW.
  • Knowledge in optical design and simulation is an asset.
  • Experience in developing industrial vision systems (cameras, lighting, optics and vision software) is desirable.
  • Experience with one or more industrial vision libraries, such as Matrox MIL, Matrox Design Assistant, Cognex, NI Vision Builder for Automated Inspection (VBAI) or OpenCV, is a plus.
  • Ease in report writing.
  • Fluency in French and good knowledge of English.
